A Gathering for Cuddle Professionals: Pittsburgh 2025
Back in 2018, I attended CuddleXpo, a gathering of professional cuddlers that allowed me to learn, network, and connect. Since then, people have asked me when we’re bringing it back. The truth is, I’ve wanted to do something like it for years, but between building my practice and raising three boys, the timing was never right, that is until now.
With my kids more independent and my passion for this work stronger than ever, I’ve teamed up with two incredible cuddle professionals and two amazing cuddle enthusiasts to bring something special to life. We’re calling it the Pittsburgh Cuddle Gathering, and it’s happening May 15–18, 2025.
This isn’t just a social hangout (though we’ll do some of that too). It’s a real opportunity for people in our industry to connect, learn, collaborate, and dream big about what’s next for the cuddle industry.
We’ve kept the price low because we know travel can be a challenge, and we want this to be accessible to as many as possible. You can stay on-site or off-site, and we’ve got donation options for anyone who wants to support others in joining.
We’ll kick off with a cozy dinner on Thursday night, followed by two full days of programming, panel discussions, and cuddle events on Friday and Saturday. Sunday wraps things up with a brunch and closing circle.
The most exciting part? This gathering is just the beginning. It’s a prelude to something even bigger: our upcoming DC CuddleCon. We’re dreaming of a full-scale conference for cuddle professionals, therapists, sex educators, somatic healers, and others working in the world of connection and care. Think workshops, panels, networking, community building, and healing on every level.
And while we couldn’t use the name “CuddleXpo,” we’re carrying forward the spirit of it: open-hearted, grassroots, and community-powered.
Another exciting thing? We’ll be introducing the newly formed professional organization, The Society of Cuddle Professionals, whose mission is to elevate our field through advocacy, networking, and accreditation of training programs. But more on that in next week's blog!
